VoIP Gateway Outage
The main PSTN trunk on the VoIP gateway has inaccessible for the past day. All incoming calls via the 1300 number and the local central VIC indial failed and were redirected to the backup gateway's voicemail. Technicians have tracked the issue down to the PSTN trunk being configured for an old, recently decommissioned gateway. The fault has now been rectified and shouldn't occur again.

Unscheduled Outage
As many of you may have noticed, there was an unscheduled outage last night in the window of approx 19:00 AEST till approx 21:50.
The outage was caused by an overheating (from dust, yay...) power supply on the OTH1 node. Support staff were dispatched and the supply was replaced, rectifying the issue. More details on the outage are available under ticket #1029 in the Support section of Account Tools.
New enclosures for node equipment are currently being designed and we expect no more issues of this nature and we thank you for your patience during the outage.

Welcome back!
mazzanet Productions would like to thank all of its customers and sponsors for their patience and support during the new server migration.
Athena (WWW) and Apollo (Shell) have been merged onto the one server now known as Zeus and are now powered by dual 2.4GHz Pentium 4 processors with 2.5GB of RAM and over 600GB of storage, kindly donated by one of our sponsors (and partners) - Bendigo Wireless.
Due to the increase in available storage, all users' quotas have been increased to 2GB. Also PsyBNC has been installed under /usr/local/bin/ for all to use :)
In the financial department, all prices have been lowered 5% (rounded to the nearest $5) which you can view on Account Tools or on your next quarterly invoice.
Some minor housekeeping, the old customer site will be decommisioned in the next couple of days so make sure all of your zone files are updated to point to the new IP addresses which has been emailed to you.
Account Tools is now available at http://toolbox.mazzanet.id.au, though you may need to wait a few hours while your ISP DNS servers update.
mazzanet's blog has been shifted to it's rightful place on the left with other staff's blogs following suit and being collected together on the one host.
All us here at mazzanet Productions would also like to wish you all a happy devils day :P
